Help with restructuring
We were asked by an ISC senior boarding and day school to advise on whether it was a good decision to recruit pupils in Years 5 and 6. The school needed to know if there was a market and if this was a wise strategic move. This information was required without attracting the attention of its competitors.
MTC analysed the market in the catchment, made an assessment the size of the market and the potential to recruit nine and ten-year olds in families who could afford the fees. The level of competitor response was assessed, risk/benefit quantified and recommendations presented.
The school decided to implement this backward integration strategy which enabled them to have more control of the feed at 11+ in a very competitive market.
